Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Defender Fit collects when you visit defenderfit.com.au or buy from us, how we use it, and your choices. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, and what you bought. Payment details are entered at checkout and handled by our payment providers. We don't see or store your full card number.
  • Email sign-ups: your email address and first name (if you give it) when you join our list.
  • Reviews: your name, rating and review if you leave one.
  • Browsing data: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site, collected with cookies and similar tools.

How we use it

  • To process, pack, ship and track your order, and to handle exchanges, returns and refunds.
  • To reply when you contact us.
  • To send marketing emails if you've signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To screen for fraud and keep the site secure.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it, and to measure and show relevant ads.

Who we share it with

We only share what's needed with the services that run the store:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout.
  • Payment providers, including Shopify Payments, PayPal and Afterpay.
  • Delivery carriers, to get your order to you.
  • Klaviyo, for our emails and product reviews.
  • Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, to understand site traffic and measure and show ads on Google, Facebook and Instagram.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We never sell your personal information. We may disclose it if required by law.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site (like the cart) may not work properly without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Google account settings.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email.
  • Ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing us.
  • If you're in the EU or UK, you also have rights under the GDPR, including to object to processing and to data portability.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal reasons. You can ask us to delete other information at any time.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
